THE BLURRY STARS

The Blurry Stars are a California-based power trio whose energetic sound fuses vintage punk, Y2K garage grit, and 90s alt-rock aesthetic. Led by songwriter, singer, guitarist and producer Sean Alan, the band is known for it's explosive live energy and repertoire of uniquely crafted songs.

Formed in 2023, The Blurry Stars began as a solo project and has since evolved through a kaleidoscopic cast of collaborators, with Sean at the helm—writing, mixing, and producing every track. With a sharp ear for melody and an old-school approach to songcraft and production, Sean shapes tunes that twist and surprise, blending unexpected chord changes with biting lyrics that tackle alienation, political disillusionment, and the chaos of modern life—all filtered through a lens of self-effacing humor, word play and unflinching honesty.

The band’s current lineup features Ventura local Bash Porter on bass and Adam Spurlock from Santa Ana on drums. The group has played extensively on the West Coast, including shows at Transplants Brewery, Sam Bond's Garage, Funhouse in Seattle, Harvard and Stone, & Up and Away Music Festival.

The Blurry Stars’ debut album, "Start a Fire," and their latest record "Dark Times" have earned the group an international fanbase that continues to grow daily.  Whether on stage or on record, The Blurry Stars put out a vivid blast of raw emotion, innovative musicianship, and full-spectrum sound. Stay tuned for news about live shows and new releases as the band continues its meteoric evolution.
