THE BLURRY STARS

“If the stars are blurry, there are 3 possible explanations: 1.) You are inebriated. 2.) You are crying. 3.) You have just been punched in the face. Whichever situation applies to you, here is a soundtrack for your experience” - The Blurry Stars

Formed in 2023 by musician/producer Sean Alan, the colorful garage punk sound, ironic sincerity, and explosive energy of The Blurry Stars came into its own when Ventura bassist Bash Porter and Santa Ana-based drummer Adam Spurlock joined the project after the 3 met as unlikely strangers through a Craisglist ad. In spite of living 100 miles apart, The Blurry Stars have remained a focused, hungry, active and prolific, both in the studio and on stage.

In a short time the band has released two studio albums, Start a Fire and Dark Times, along with a string of singles that have helped build a growing international audience. Their music has landed on Spotify’s Discover Weekly and on terrestrial radio across the West Coast. The band has performed at several venues and festivals, including Transplants, Sam Bond’s Garage, Funhouse Seattle, Redwood Bar, Harvard & Stone, Harvelle’s Santa Monica, Slipper Clutch & Up and Away Music Festival.

With a third album in the works and two West Coast summer tours on deck, The Blurry Stars show no signs of slowing down.
